I was born in Budapest. I took an active part in the uprising in Hungary during which I was wounded, captured, jailed and maltreated by State Security.
After the uprising was crushed and reprisals began, I escaped and headed for England where I became a celebrity, had jobs as a technician, door-to-door salesman of brushes, men’s suits, vacuum cleaners, etc., then as a miner’s labourer building the Victoria Line Underground in London.
I studied various subjects, gave a lecture at an International Electronics Engineering Conference, published a technical paper and became a Fellow member of several major Institutes. I obtained positions as senior engineer then manager and married a nice girl. The marriage ended seventeen years and three daughters later, and I accepted a job offer from Germany as a consultant engineer on spacecraft and satellite development projects for NASA and ESA.
I now live with my second wife in a town north of Lake Constance in Germany.
